Robert has developed a number of excellent promotional videos for Foothill College’s Research and Service Leadership Symposium (RSLS) over the last few years, each time delivering more than expected, for both the final product and the quality of the collaboration.
Every year, Robert has provided us with a video that meets our specifications for length, content, tone, and audience, taking care to inquire about and address our needs from the first meeting. Even with limited assets--images, video, audio, etc.--he is skilled at finding those hidden gems that truly capture and convey the essence of the event and organization. For example, Robert was able to isolate a small clip from a video taken of our past event, select a number of key phrases, and then, using a selection of images and music, craft that phrase into a new brand for our organization that resonated with the audience and inspired future participants to join.
Working with Robert also means that you have the benefit of his boundless energy and creativity. He always has innovative ideas for concepts, themes, or styles as well as techniques and new tools that can enhance the audience experience. I greatly appreciate that he takes the lead, offering and demonstrating a possible direction while remaining open to the client’s opinions and putting those interests first.
This is integrated into Robert’s method. Robert is upfront about working in an iterative fashion, a process that allows him to develop initial ideas, send specs or samples of the work in progress, receive feedback, and then implement notes and suggestions into the next iteration. This allows for regular and dynamic communication, and therefore, the evolution of a project that meets the client’s needs each step of the way. I have found that as I view a new draft, often a forgotten or overlooked image or video comes to mind that I can suggest, and this can prompt a small change by Robert in turn, resulting in an improved final product as well as an engaging experience.
Robert is also efficient, timely, and responsive, producing drafts of projects ahead of deadlines for ample opportunities for discussion and editing. He is an experienced professional who is easy and enjoyable to work with, and I look forward to enlisting his services on many future projects.
